Comments on Workshops
Hi Kitty,
I was driving to my massage appointment this morning, and thought to myself, "I wish I was going to a retreat again afterward, like last time. So I wanted to reach out and thank you for the wonderful retreat in Fremont, several weeks ago. I really got a lot out of it, and just really enjoyed the time of self-reflection, sharing, and terrific array of exercises you provided. I've used more art in therapy since then, more than I have in a long time.
Beyond the techniques, I also grew more aware of some things I'd like to change, based on your comments and style. Like you said that you've grown more quiet in sessions and let clients talk more. I've found myself doing better with that now. And not rescuing (I can't remember an example). And just asking them to do some of the art, tapping, or empty chair, etc...most of these had fallen by the wayside over the years, and part of it was I was afraid they'd think it was either weird or not the best use of our time. Well, I didn't think any of it was weird when you asked us to do it, and I found it all so very helpful. I've got clients using their voice memo to record affirmations and relaxation...it all just made great sense.
I thought after we ended the retreat how nice it would be to have us all on a facebook group. I had a moment of progress I wanted to share with everyone, based on the work I'd done in the empty chair exercise. I reached out and asked my brother to help and take mom to a doctor appointment...and he did.
Anyway, I just really appreciated you, and all you did for us. I know it was a small group compared to what you're used to, but it made a great difference. Take care.

Hey Kitty,
Guess what! Sheri and I retired November 5, 2021. Our two properties are up for sale and we're taking the dough and moving to Florida.
Thank you so much for the conference last April. It helped us make the decision. It was the best thing that happened in 2021! Thank you and Celeste so so much!
Love Peace and Joy,
Robert

Hi Kitty!!
I've been wanting to email you for so long, and when I saw this invitation for the workshop, I knew I had to reach out. I just wanted you to know I am just days away from 3 years sober!! It's been a wonderful (although difficult) journey through three years of doing life without alcohol....but SO worth it. I have always wanted to tell you how much it meant to me that you had the AA meeting, prayed with me, and were so supportive as I came to that workshop with only 30 days sober! The whole group was wonderful, and it was so inspirational to be in your presence, and feel the support and love from you and the other women in the group. The exercises were so meaningful; I still have my collage of my "graceful warrior," and I just loved the last segment where we chose a song that embodied our experience.
Everything I learned from you, and from the workshop, really helped support me during those first days and months. And being out in the country in such a beautiful place was magical. I'm unable to come this year, but please keep me informed of upcoming offerings. Again, many thanks for your support; I remember you saying you prayed before every session with a patient, and I've begun doing that, too. I just discovered AA online and I'm part of a group called 319 that meets 24/7 - it's incredible. I learn something each and every time I'm in the meetings - such great people and I know the spiritual transformation that AA offers is what keeps me, and everyone else, sober - one day at a time.
I hope you're well and again, sending my love and many thanks.
